The Corporate Director of Global Quality will develop a roadmap to transform the enterprise to a “quality first” mentality and zero-defect culture. The position drives collaboration cross functionally to deliver quality objectives and goals across all hardware and software products, as well as all the corporate quality objectives.
Essential Functions
Leading and executing the Quality strategy and goals
Evaluates processes from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity,
functionality, and other specifications and requirements
Own all quality initiatives throughout the global organization through oversight and management
Contribute to the “lean thinking” education of all the employees and champion ‘lean thinking’ culture
Deliver hands on coaching especially in the area of problem solving. Map competence gaps and define training requirements to support all people in the journey
Define, drive and follow up Quality activities. Make sure there is good prioritization and focus.
Manage and coordinate the Quality KPI’s
Maintain consistent and positive leadership, ensure team responsibilities are clearly defined and maintain a collaborative environment that promotes team work and growth opportunities
Challenge the management and boost lean best practices within the organization
Collaborates with management and senior staff across departments
Responsible for establishing processes that drive the business to process excellence and improve overall cost of poor quality
Required Education and Experience
4-year degree from an accredited university in Engineering or related industrial field required;
10-15+ years in quality leadership, preferably in technology industrial products
Advanced training in Lean, PDCA, Kaizen, and other Continuous Improvement methodologies
Experience with reliability concepts and test development methods
Experience with Dfx concepts
History of a process-oriented, flexible approach.
Experience working with manufacturing based technology, processes and principles is required
Significant Lean deployment leadership experience in a manufacturing environment setting
Comprehensive knowledge of quality systems, tools, and procedures required. Knowledge of ISO9001 & TS16949 preferred
