This is a high‑impact, strategically influential role at the heart of LIXIL’s Central Quality Group. You will shape how global quality systems operate, drive proactive quality culture across New Product Development, and play a pivotal role in the global SAP S/4HANA transformation (LIFT).

If you are motivated by complex global environments, cross‑functional collaboration, and the opportunity to build a unified “One LIXIL” quality language, this role offers exceptional scope and visibility.

About The Role

The Global Quality Systems & NPD Integration Lead operates at the intersection of Quality Engineering, SAP Quality Management, and New Product Development. The position is split roughly 50/50 between:

  • SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM) deployment and governance
  • NPD Quality leadership and “Quality at the Source” implementation

You will work closely with teams across Asia, EMENA, the Americas, R&D, Manufacturing, and the global LIFT programme to harmonise processes, strengthen quality foundations, and support high‑velocity manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

SAP S/4HANA (LIFT) Quality Management

  • Lead the architecture, deployment, and governance of the SAP QM module within the global S/4HANA template.
  • Manage rollout activities across regions, including completed, ongoing, and upcoming deployments.
  • Maintain and safeguard the integrity of the global QM template to ensure harmonised processes.
  • Collect, prioritise, and manage system backlogs and optimisation initiatives based on user feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement post‑rollout across global regions.
  • Collaborate closely with ITD, MTE, and STP workstreams to ensure integrated, user‑centric processes.

NPD Quality Leadership

  • Embed “Quality at the Source” principles across the Stage Gate process.
  • Ensure rigorous completion of quality work packages throughout NPD projects.
  • Facilitate early‑stage quality engineering activities, including Design and Process FMEAs with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Review and validate key deliverables such as technical feasibility, installation testing, and field test reports.
  • Integrate lessons learned into new project planning to prevent repeat issues.
  • Define and manage Critical Characteristics within inspection planning, coordinating with plants and R&D.
  • Conduct supplier process audits in line with VDA 6.3 standards.
  • Analyse product data and drive 8D corrective actions, including communication, tracking, and effectiveness checks.
  • Oversee containment, rework, and sorting activities when required.
  • Manage quality‑related cost recharging to the appropriate owner.
  • Track and report project‑specific Quality KPIs.

What You Bring

You will thrive in this role if you have a strong Quality Engineering foundation and the ability to operate autonomously in a global, fast‑moving environment.

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 5+ years’ experience in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations in an international setting
  • Strong SAP QM/PP knowledge (S/4HANA preferred)
  • Deep understanding of PPAP, APQP, SPC, FMEA, and core quality tools
  • Experience with supplier quality, audits, and NPD processes
  • Strong analytical capability and excellent MS Office skills
  • Self‑driven, pragmatic, and able to balance quality and business priorities
  • Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders across regions
  • Business‑fluent English is required; German is a plus
  • Preferred certifications include Six Sigma Green/Black Belt and ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.

Why This Role Matters

This position is central to LIXIL’s shift from reactive quality management to a proactive, prevention‑driven culture. By harmonising digital tools and NPD processes, you will help create a unified global quality language that strengthens manufacturing performance, reduces failure and warranty costs, and enhances customer satisfaction.

Why Join LIXIL

  • High visibility and strategic influence across global operations
  • Opportunity to shape long‑term quality systems and processes
  • Significant involvement in a major global SAP transformation
  • Broad exposure to cross‑functional and international stakeholders
  • Flexible, autonomous working environment
  • A role with genuine impact on product quality, customer experience, and operational excellence
