As a Senior Professional, the position will be vital in ensuring quality standards are met throughout the lifecycle of these critical projects. To meet these business objectives, the role is structured around three core areas: Project Quality Planning & Execution, Process & Supplier Quality Management, and Compliance & Auditing. This focus ensures comprehensive quality oversight from initial planning and supplier engagement through to final project delivery and continuous improvement. Given the focus on independent project management and complex problem-solving, the ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of quality management systems, extensive experience in industrial or energy projects, and proven skills in root cause analysis, auditing, and process improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
40% Project Quality Planning & Execution
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Management Plans for new O&G and packaging projects (e.g., Kaminho, Hammerhead, Seagull).
- Coordinate product and project compliance activities related to applicable certifications and regulations (e.g. CE, EAC, ATEX, IECEx).
- Coordinate safety inspection and punch closure for new projects
- Lead customer quality interfaces including FAT activities, deviation approvals, inspection coordination, and complaint resolution.
- Ensure complete and timely delivery of project quality documentation
- Act as the primary quality point of contact for project teams, customers, and suppliers, ensuring requirements are understood and met.
- Manage non-conformance issues by leading root cause analysis (RCA) and ensuring the effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor all project phases to ensure activities comply with internal quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project quality objectives.
30% Process Improvement & Supplier Quality
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within project processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance, including conducting audits and assessments for project-related procurement.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to define and establish quality requirements for new vendors and materials.
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals or team members, providing guidance on quality standards and processes.
- Ensure supplier compliance through quality surveillance, source inspections, and review of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
30% Auditing, Compliance & Reporting
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits on projects and processes to verify adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Prepare and present regular quality performance reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project management and leadership.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality documentation, including audit findings, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.
- Ensure all project deliverables and processes are in compliance with both company and external regulatory and legal requirements.
Certifications
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a project quality management role, preferably within the energy, manufacturing, or industrial sector.
- Demonstrated experience working independently on complex projects and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Quality Management & Assurance: Quality control, ISO 9000 system, root cause analysis, internal audit, change control, test planning
- Process & Project Management: Process & continuous improvement, risk and workflow management
- Core Competencies: Troubleshooting & problem solving, analytical thinking, accountability
