Position Overview
The Head of Quality is responsible for leading and improving the plants quality assurance, control, and management systems. This role ensures that all products meet established quality standards by developing and implementing quality management systems and managing the QA/QC team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee product quality and develop quality management strategies.
Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, ensuring effective quality control and problem resolution.
Manage budgets related to quality initiatives and drive cost reductions.
Maintain and enhance customer and supplier relationships, addressing quality issues and supporting continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with other departments to meet quality objectives and manage internal and external audits.
Qualifications
Masters degree in engineering or related field preferred; significant experience considered.
At least 5 years of experience in quality management within OCTG.
Deep knowledge of API/ASTM/ASME standards and quality improvement processes.
Strong technical background in material testing, inspection, and quality assurance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Additional Information
Part of the local leadership team. Involved in selecting and training quality department staff and developing quality inspection equipment and processes.
