Role Description The Head of Quality will lead the overall quality function for A&A Trousers Ltd., ensuring that all products meet internal standards and customer requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Savar. Day-to-day responsibilities include establishing and maintaining quality control processes, supervising in-line and final inspections, and monitoring quality metrics across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing. The role involves conducting audits of production lines, analyzing defects and rework data, and implementing corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with production and technical teams. The Head of Quality will develop and update quality policies, train quality staff and line operators, communicate with buyers’ quality representatives, and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and strengthen compliance with factory and customer standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills for managing inspections and maintaining product standards.
- Candidates should possess Quality Auditing and Quality Management skills to develop systems, lead audits, and oversee end-to-end quality processes.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret quality data, identify root causes of defects, and recommend practical solutions.
- Relevant experience in garment manufacturing, preferably in trousers or bottom wear, with a focus on factory-floor quality operations.
- Proven experience in leading and developing quality teams, with the ability to coach, train, and evaluate staff performance.
- Familiarity with buyer quality requirements, AQL standards, and common garment testing and inspection methodologies.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with production, merchandising, and compliance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in apparel quality management.
- Ability to work on-site in Savar, manage multiple lines simultaneously, and handle time-sensitive issues in a fast-paced environment.
