As Head of Quality Control at Suitsupply, you have the chance to lead the company’s global QC
function, building a global team which can scale along with Suitsupply. Your mission: ensure every Suitsupply garment meets the brand’s exacting standards, no matter where it is made.
Reporting to the VP / Director of Supply Chain, you will own the end-to-end quality framework across our global sourcing network, spanning Asia and Europe.
You will design and implement the QC operating model, technology stack, and team structure that will underpin the company’s production and sourcing strategy. In the first year you will grow your team across multiple regions, define the AQL standards, deploy QC software, and ensure zero quality disruption as the existing partner exits.
A technology-first mindset is essential. You are expected to evaluate and implement the best available hardware and software — including AI-powered inspection systems, automated defect detection, digital QC platforms, and data analytics — to create a highly efficient, scalable QC operation with maximum automation.
What you will do
• Build the function. Design the operating model, organisational structure, and inspection
protocols. Recruit and lead the global team (~30) across Amsterdam and Asia hubs.
• Manage the transition. Take the function from current state to fully operational in year one, with zero impact on quality or shipment cadence.
• Set the standard. Codify Suitsupply’s AQL framework, defect classifications, factory scorecards, and the policy manual that holds it all together.
• Lead the technology agenda. Deploy the QC platform, build out the data architecture, and
integrate with PLM, ERP, and the broader supply chain stack.
• Partner across the business. Work upstream with Product Development on tech packs and gold samples, with Buying on supplier selection and shipment release, and with leadership on the KPIs that matter.
Who you are
• 10+ years in apparel QC/QA, with 5+ in senior leadership and a multi-country sourcing footprint.
• You have built a QC function from scratch before. Single most valued experience for this role.
• Real tailoring depth — you can hold your own with pattern cutters, fit technicians, and production engineers on technical detail.
• Premium or luxury brand exposure, with a feel for the standards customers in this segment
expect.
• Fluent in AQL, statistical sampling, and garment inspection across tailored and casual.
• Tech-first by instinct: implemented QC platforms, digital inspection tools, or automation in a
manufacturing setting. Active interest in AI, computer vision, and IoT-enabled quality.
• Has run distributed teams across APAC and EMEA, including building local teams in production
regions.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin a strong advantage given the China network and APAC team.
