Join our team at Samtel Avionics as Head – Quality and lead our quality assurance and control processes to ensure excellence in aerospace, defense, and high-tech electronics manufacturing.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Compliance:
Interaction with CEMILAC, DGAQA, and MSQAA agencies is desirable.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, including IPC/J-STD, JSS 55555, MIL-810, ESD S20:20, FAI (IS9102), and IMTAR (DDPMAS).
Lead the implementation of ISO 9001 and AS9100 QMS in the electronics industry, serving as Management Representative (MR).
Quality Assurance & Product
Qualification:
Oversee product and part qualification, environmental and reliability testing, and regulatory approvals for Airborne/Ground systems.
Integrate quality into all phases of the hardware/software development lifecycle.
Work closely with design and development teams to establish and meet quality requirements and goals.
Apply Agile methodologies to enhance team performance and ensure QA best practices.
Supplier & Process Quality:
Lead supplier selection, auditing, and approval processes to ensure quality standards are met.
Drive best practices in Design, Development, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
Develop robust processes for product lifecycle management, including hardware and software quality control.
Operational Excellence & Team Leadership:
Oversee quality inspection functions and lead quality resources to ensure defect-free parts and products.
Collaborate with operations to meet customer requirements, technical specifications, and delivery timelines.
Standardize inspection operations for enhanced efficiency and compliance.
Ensure seamless integration of the Quality Management System (QMS) with other management systems.
Preferred
Qualifications & Skills:
Industry Expertise:
20 years of experience in Aerospace/Defense electronics manufacturing.
Proven experience in managing multiple quality-driven projects.
Certifications:
ISO 9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification (desirable).
Technical & Leadership Skills:
Strong understanding of NPI best practices, methodologies, procedures, and tools.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills within a technical environment.
Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure best-in-class quality standards.
