Overview
A leading HVAC-R manufacturer is seeking a Quality Head to lead the full QA/QC function across its Dammam manufacturing facility. This senior leadership role will own the Quality Management System, drive manufacturing quality improvements, and ensure alignment with international standards and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience within HVAC coil, heat exchanger, or similar manufacturing environments, with proven technical expertise and quality leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full QA and QC function across an HVAC-R coil manufacturing facility.
- Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Oversee quality control processes across incoming materials, in-process inspections, final inspections, and product testing.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing methodologies.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage customer complaints, warranty claims, quality investigations, and resolution processes.
- Lead internal and external audits, certification activities, and customer quality assessments.
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs focused on reducing defects, scrap, rework, and customer returns.
- Partner cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
- Promote a culture of quality ownership and operational excellence across the organization.
Technical Requirements
10–15+ years’ experience in quality roles within HVAC coil, heat exchanger, or similar manufacturing environments.
5+ years’ experience leading quality teams within a manufacturing setting.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC coil manufacturing processes, including:
- Evaporator coils
- Condenser coils
- Chilled water coils
- DX coils
- Copper tube expansion
- Fin press operations
- Brazing
- Pressure testing
- Leak testing
Hands-on experience with quality and continuous improvement methodologies, including:
- FMEA
- APQP
- SPC
- MSA
- 8D
- CAPA
- Six Sigma
- Lean Manufacturing
Candidate Profile
- Strong people leadership and team development capabilities.
- Proven ability to improve manufacturing quality performance and implement structured quality processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams.
- Strong communication skills with professional English required.
- Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
