Position Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Head of Quality to champion a culture of excellence and drive our product quality to world-class standards. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be the key architect of our Quality Management System, directly influencing customer satisfaction and our global market reputation. This position reports directly to the President and collaborates closely with the Plant Manager. Proven ability to manage process control across metal casting, grinding, machining, finishing, assembly and packaging processes, as well as to achieve international certifications, will be critical to our continued growth.

Fluency in both Vietnamese and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

• Lead the Quality team (QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and lab technicians) and foster a culture of quality excellence and accountability.

• Drive root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving using tools such as 8D reports, 5-Why, Fishbone, A3, etc.

• Develop and maintain PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow diagrams for all product lines.

• Manage the full PPAP process for new products and engineering changes with customers.

• Act as the primary quality interface with key international customers (especially in the US and Europe), handling complaints, visits, audits, and continuous improvement programs.

• Lead supplier quality development and perform regular supplier assessments and audits.

• Secure and maintain product certifications required by the water and HVAC industries: UL, FM, NSF/ANSI 61 & 372, WRAS, ACS, DVGW, and other relevant approvals.

• Coordinate third-party audits (ISO, customer, and certification bodies) and ensure 100% compliance.

• Monitor and improve key quality KPIs (scrap rate, customer PPM, first-pass yield, cost of poor quality).

• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales teams to achieve operational excellence.

• Undertake strategic projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Manager or President.

Required Qualifications (Must-Have):

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Foundry) or related field.

• Minimum 8-10 years of quality management experience in the casting/foundry industry, with at least 4-5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven hands-on experience with discrete manufacturing is required. Experience with iron fittings, brass valves/fittings, and press fitting systems for water and HVAC applications is highly preferred.

• Expert knowledge of 8D reports, PFMEA, DFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, and supplier quality management.

• Successful track record of obtaining and maintaining product certifications, preferably related to the HVAC applications, including key US and European certifications (e.g., UL, FM, NSF, WRAS, DVGW).

• Current ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification and extensive experience with ISO 14001.

• Strong customer-facing experience with North American and European OEMs/Tier-1 customers.

• Fluency in Vietnamese and English (both written and spoken, as all reports and customer communications are bilingual). Knowledge of Chinese is preferable.

• Excellent leadership, communication, project management and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

• Master’s degree or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or IATF 16949 principles.

• Experience in implementing digital quality tools (MES, SPC systems).
