Role Overview:
We are hiring for a senior leadership role in the R&D and Engineering function for a clean energy technology organization. The role will lead the Testing, Validation, and Quality Assurance function for advanced power electronics and renewable energy products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary testing teams across electrical, electronics, and mechanical domains
- Define and drive testing and validation strategy aligned with product roadmap and quality objectives
- Oversee end-to-end validation activities including functional, performance, environmental, reliability, and safety testing
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and validation protocols
- Establish robust QA and system validation processes for products such as:
- Grid-tied and hybrid inverters
- Solar motor controllers
- Solar cold storage systems
- Motors and power electronics systems
- Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, field, and certification teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on field feedback and failure analysis
- Support product certification and compliance activities (IEC/UL/BIS etc.)
- Build and develop a high-performing testing and validation team
Required Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Testing, Validation, QA, or Reliability Engineering
- Strong background in:
- Power Electronics
- Renewable Energy Systems
- Inverters / Solar Products
- Electrical & Electronics Testing
- Product Validation & Certification
- Experience leading testing or validation teams
- Strong understanding of environmental, reliability, and safety testing
- Exposure to certification standards such as IEC, UL, BIS, CE, etc.
- Hands-on experience in root cause analysis and failure investigation
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management skills
