Our client is a major EPC Player with a global footprint.
They are currently looking for a senior professional to oversee and maintain the overall saftey and quality standards of the major EPC projects in the region, ensuring all infrastructure, processes, and procedures adhere to established safety and quality guidelines, including environmental controls, security measures, and operational efficiency, by conducting regular audits and inspections, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for
Providing leadership to the General Contractors safety and quality team, and interface at the highest Level between Engineering, Operations, and Commissioning teams.
Gaining an understanding of the client’s needs and requirements and communicating the quality and safety expectations of the Project teams.
Prepare an annual plan for safety and Quality improvement and sustainability of quality.
Set organisation level goals for Quality improvement.
Devise ways to improve the construction process to ensure higher-quality finishes.
Create, improve, and review new specifications and procedures for Construction/installation, and implementation.
Setting the requirements for Civil construction and monitoring their compliance..
Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting.
Setting up Goal, KPI for QA/QC team.
Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis for all Projects and Operational sites.
Gaining feedback from the client, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist External auditors and inspectors.
Qualifications:
A bachelor ‘s degree in Civil/electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
with PG/PGD in Operations/Project Management
Total Experience of 15-20 Years out of which at least 10 Years in Safety /QA/QC role.
Experience of Heading Safety/QA/QC department for 3-5 Years.
Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of safety, quality control procedures and legal standards.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Certification of TQM, Six Sigma and membership of Quality management institute will be advantageous.
