About The Role
The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department by managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth HR operations. This position involves assisting with recruitment activities, maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating onboarding processes, and supporting various HR programs. The HR Coordinator acts as a point of contact for employees and management, providing guidance on HR-related inquiries and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or administrative roles preferred
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and HR information systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ADP systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees and management
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality
- Coordinate and administer the onboarding process, including background checks, I-9 verification, and documentation collection
- Schedule and facilitate employee training sessions through third-party vendors, ensuring effective communication and coordination
- Conduct employee check-in calls to support engagement and address HR-related questions
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure labor law posters are current and compliant with regulations
- Assist in administering employee recognition programs, benefits open enrollment, and other HR initiatives
- Support the employee wellness program by coordinating activities and disseminating resources
- Develop and maintain an annual HR calendar highlighting key events and initiatives
- Prepare and distribute quarterly HR newsletters to communicate updates and organizational news
- Support recruitment efforts and onboarding processes as needed
- Participate in special projects and perform additional HR-related duties to support departmental goals
