Responsibilities:
Assist in the QA process by conducting testing of software applications to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues.
Contribute to the development and execution of test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, requirements, and priorities, ensuring alignment with quality assurance standards.
Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide input and identify potential areas for improvement.
Document, track, and prioritize defects, issues, and enhancement requests using a bug tracking system, contributing to timely resolution.
Support in reproducing reported issues, participating in root cause analysis efforts, and communicating findings to the development team.
Verify fixes and ensure that identified issues have been resolved satisfactorily, contributing to maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
Assist in implementing and refining testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality standards.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing to contribute to team knowledge.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Some experience in a QA Engineer role or relevant internship experience.
Understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
Ability to create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts under supervision.
Knowledge of bug tracking systems and defect management processes is a plus.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and interest in learning and contributing to testing efforts in an Agile development environment.
Interest in web and mobile application testing to ensure quality standards across platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and contribute to achieving quality objectives.
Fluency in native Cantonese is a must
