Job Description:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will ensure that products are designed, built, and produced in accordance with customer specifications and quality requirements. The estimated start date for this position is mid-April 2025, with a preferred location in the Central, KY area.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the release of our product to ensure it meets standards.
Inspection of Coding Standards.
Verify programming languages have been used appropriately.
Defect prevention, detection, and resolution.
Oversee test plans, test design, test development, and test execution activities.
Perform inspections and set quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials.
Assist in developing quality control policies and evaluating production limitations.
Support Tier 2/3 level help desk analysis that involves exploratory testing to replicate system issues as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure seamless software delivery.
Work with core staff in the Central Kentucky area but may work remotely.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen (Based on the nature of the work in support of government clients and agencies.)
Experience documenting test cases, procedures, and observations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Familiarity with automated testing tools.
Live in a HUBZone and plan to continue to live there for at least 6 months.
Additional Desired Skills:
Direct experience with software systems/portals within the emergency management discipline.
Experience with user engagement and training.
Additional experience working with and training users on web-based systems is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of related experience as a Test Analyst/Engineer using automated tools.
