Job Description:
Industrial Engineering Technician – Reno, NV
The purpose of the Industrial Engineering Technician’s role is to contribute analytical and data-driven input to the development of the Mars Petcare supply strategy. The successful candidate will measure, track, and monitor the organization’s performance to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide objective assessments on the impact of new initiatives as supply strategies are executed.
The IE Tech will partner with the Site IE Manager to support all commissioning, validation, and start-up activities for specified projects.

Associate degree or equivalent required
2. Skills/Experience
Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable with Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis
Experience with supply chain planning / production scheduling
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
What will be your key responsibilities?
Track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), perform trend analysis, and maintain capability database
Provide insight and objective analysis of performance; and evaluate and communicate the performance against KPI targets
Coach Associates in performance management to ensure general understanding of KPI metrics and drivers to KPI improvement
Provide objective perspective on impact (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Sustainability) of proposed activities, projects, new products

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
Eligibility for these additional elements depends on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
