Role Overview

Milara’s QA team is seeking Test Technician for final testing of advanced electro-mechanical systems. The robots and the machines utilizing them are automating world-class capital equipment used in all advanced semiconductor factories. The Final Test/QC Technician is an important role in the testing and final validation of our robotic automation product line of wafer handling products. This individual is responsible for bringing our robots to life and ensuring our products provide years of dependable service to our customers. This is accomplished by having an eye for every detail no matter how small and following established protocols without exception. The Final Test/QC technician is expected to discover any defects in workmanship, functionality, or configuration before finished units are shipped to the customer and take appropriate action. The Final Test/QC technician is expected to have expert knowledge of each product under their responsibility and be able to troubleshoot nonconformances to find the root cause. Records and documentation are required to be retained on our server for each serial number. This position reports to and is supported by Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Responsibilities – the technician performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.

Load firmware into robots and systems
Performs start up checks
Mechanical and software calibration
Repeatability testing
Verifies units match configuration spec
Troubleshooting of nonconforming products
Robot teaching and validation
System commissioning
Final inspection
Performs inspection procedures utilizing various metrology tools.
Troubleshoots mechanical/electrical/software problems in existing equipment. Assists in design improvements related to reliability, cost, performance.
Documents and communicates issues to manufacturing and engineering
Prepares written reports and makes recommendations for procedural changes related to quality assurance.
Conducts variety of non-routine tasks to ensure production quality standards are met
Supports R&D with testing of new products

Qualifications & Requirements:

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, would be considered.

Technical degree or equivalent experience
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented. Attention to detail is critical for this position.
Works well under pressure and ensures on time completion of tasks.
Able to document issues and drive continuous improvement.
Ability to troubleshoot to component level complex electro-mechanical assemblies using oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, and other test equipment.
Semiconductor automation experience is a plus.
