Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, Entry Level
Location: 3001 Story Rd, W Irving, TX 75038
Reports To: QA Supervisor/Manager
Department: Quality Assurance
Hours: M-F 7:00am to 3:30pm
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our food facility team at Globallee Inc.. The QA Technician will be responsible for ensuring the production of safe, high-quality food products that meet both regulatory and company standards. This role requires close attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet established quality standards.
Monitor the production process for compliance with food safety regulations and internal policies.
Verify proper labeling, packaging, and product storage procedures are followed to meet safety standards.
Conduct microbiological and chemical testing as required, maintaining accurate records of results.
Identify and report non-conformities and deviations from quality standards, and work with production staff to correct issues.
Perform routine sanitation checks to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
Participate in product shelf life testing and other quality control initiatives.
Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Maintain and calibrate quality control instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Follow proper documentation and reporting protocols, including maintaining quality logs and reports.
Work collaboratively with production teams to resolve any quality issues and improve processes.
Qualifications:
Fluent in English, verbal and written (required).
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Bilingual/ Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential quality issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to use basic quality control testing equipment and software (computer literacy).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Basic knowledge of food labeling and packaging requirements is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety or pre QA Tech experience is not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and walk throughout the facility.
Ability to lift up to 25- 50 lbs. regularly, with occasional heavier lifting.
Ability to work in a cold and/or wet environment as required by the nature of food production.
Capable of performing repetitive tasks with focus and attention to detail.
