Summary
As a Quality Assurance Specialist at West Texas Counseling and Guidance, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of service quality within our organization. This role is vital in ensuring that our providers schedules are complete and that accurate information is loading into the clients files before appointment times.
Responsibilities
Confirm provider, location and complete client identifying information
Verify insurance is active and confirm benefits by contacting insurance companies or using web portals (Availity, TMHP etc. )
Identify past due balances, missed fees and upcoming current copays by making notes in the scheduler for the IS team to relay to client upon check in.
Maintain documentation needed to meet grant audit requirements (excluding TXVET unless needed)
Check and work emails daily
Check for add-on’s in the AM and before leaving for the day
Make accurate and complete notes in the client profiles
Help IS/Providers/Staff trouble shoot any issues/questions with check in/out, adding /removing grants and programs, some behavioral health billing knowledge
Help identify areas of improvement

Medical billing experience

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
