SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (this list is not exhaustive):
Report to lab 15 minutes prior to production shift start to ensure proper paperwork, with correct information. Cart and scales set up and out on the production line prior to the start of the shift.
Communicate effectively with Management and Lab Technicians any deviation from the product or the process.
Check Video jet for correct codes and clarity.
Uses lab equipment to do moistures on product and another test to assist the lab technician if needed.
Check fill weight and net weights at least twice per retort
Monitor Moisture checks from each tank from soak deck verify they have meet the moisture levels.
Follows Blancher Metal Detection Procedures.
Conducts pH test on water in Pit outside every hour. Record tests, start and stop times, and complete various logs required by management pertaining to production.
Records all information on the proper forms and reports. For guidelines and specific Procedures, refer to the Lab Procedure Manual.
Reports all problems to the QA Supervisor/QA Manager.
As needed overhaul hold products.
Will be doing teardown every 2 hours to assure the integrity of seams are in specs.
Will be relieving other line checker for breaks and lunches.
Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shift.

Communications Skills – Good listening skills and habits are essential for this position. Excellent ability to resolve issues and solve problems through personal interaction. Above average verbal and written communication skills essential. Some knowledge of Spanish.
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze and interpret production data. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and efficiency. Interpret charts, graphs and use a calculator.
Initiative and Ingenuity – Ability to apply appropriate judgment and initiative in determining source of information, and action required for results and solutions. Demonstrates a willingness to learn, and the ability to handle new responsibilities.

Possesses a strong team player attitude and has the ability and willingness to work overtime to complete own work or to assist co-workers. Must pass the Line Checker test with an 80% or above. Always presents a very professional image in dress and demeanor. Has the ability to function under a high degree of complexity and can handle a number of critical situations at once.
