We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our team at Samsung to ensure the battery life quality of Mobile Devices. The role will focus on testing and analyzing the power consumption of all Samsung Smartphone, Tablet, and Wearable models.
Role and Responsibilities
Role & Responsibilities:
Test Planning – Create test plans based on new device features and network technologies
Process Improvement – Support evaluating big data / market VOCs to pinpoint current needs and improvement areas
Automation – Maintain test scripts and support the development of new automation solutions
Failure case analysis – Capture and analyze logs from failure cases and guide development team towards fix implementation
Job Qualification / Description:
Experience or knowledge in the Android Ecosystem
Experience or knowledge in mobile device power consumption and battery life testing
Experience or knowledge in cellular network technologies such as LTE, 5GSA, Sub6, mmW
Experience programming in Java or Python
Strong analytical skills which involve critical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex power consumption issues
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in engineering field, or 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in power consumption / performance test & analysis for mobile devices
Experience with industry standard power measurement tools such as Monsoon Power Monitor, Agilent power supply/multimeters, etc.
Strong understanding of QA best practices including test planning, test case design, defect/test management, and Bugs reporting
A skilled specialist that completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways with strong multi-tasking ability
Ability to contribute to the development of concepts and techniques as well as complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide effective solutions to improve quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with mobile device disassembly and power
