Title: Interim Logistics Officer (Quality Assurance)

Company: Vivid Resourcing

Location: Limburg, Flemish Region, Belgium

For a customer in Limburg, we are searching for a freelance interim Logistics Officer with a QA background to ensure the timely and accurate handling of quality-related files within the warehouse. This is an operational for a professional with knowledge of quality systems. This need arises from a temporary capacity shortage within the logistics organization and will persist until a new Logistics Officer is fully trained and able to work independently.

Expected support

  • Assist in drafting investigations, NCRs, and CAPAs related to warehouse processes.
  • Train administrative staff within the warehouse so they can process quality documents independently.
  • Ensure that files are prepared accurately, completely, and in compliance with applicable quality standards.
  • Actively track outstanding actions, owners, and deadlines within quality files.
  • Identify delays or bottlenecks to allow for timely corrective action.
  • Support the logistics organization in the correct use of the quality system and adherence to associated documentation requirements.

Temporary assignment and handover

This quality role is intended to provide temporary capacity support. The priority is to quickly stabilize the current workload regarding investigations, NCRs, and CAPAs, preventing quality files from remaining open and ensuring timely completion. Once the new Logistics Officer has been trained, responsibility must be gradually transferred to the two Logistics Officers then in place.

Structural expectations following temporary support

By the end of the temporary support period, the two Logistics Officers must be sufficiently trained to work independently and to a high standard within the quality system. This entails the proper initiation, documentation, and follow-up of investigations, NCRs, and CAPAs, including the monitoring of actions and deadlines. The aim is to structurally embed this knowledge within the logistics organization, ensuring that future quality records are handled in a timely and complete manner, in compliance with applicable requirements.
