Job Summary:

The Labeling Compliance Specialist is responsible for creating, reviewing, and approving product labels to ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to verify accuracy, maintaining detailed records of labeling processes, and ensuring timely distribution of compliant labels. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Tracks and implements labeling changes, ensuring alignment with corporate labeling strategies.
Develops and maintains Company Core Data Sheets (CCDS) or Company Core Safety Information (CCSI) documentation and verifies information with internal subject matter experts.
Submits and prints labels/label updates to all internal and external stakeholders and stays current with regulatory changes impacting the labeling strategy.
Maintains records of past labeling changes.
Keeps Accurate inventory of label stock levels.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

Strong computer & clerical skills. Technical expertise.
Strong understanding of relevant databases.
Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
Must be proficient in Microsoft & Google processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Publisher, Excel, Google Docs, etc.).
Working knowledge of labeling equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices.
Detail oriented. Ability to think analytically.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment to meet required deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively and conduct yourself professionally, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Education & Experience:

High school degree or equivalent.
A minimum of 1-year previous data entry experience.
Previous experience with METRC data system required.
Possesses working knowledge of subject matter.
Experience with Warehouse Management System or ERP a plus.

Requirements:

Must be over 21 years of age
METRC experience required.
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 40 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.

This role operates in a cannabis manufacturing setting where exposure to fine plant particles, such as dust from grinding or trimming, is common. The company provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and comfort while working in this environment
