Chipton-Ross is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cable Inspector to join our team in Oldsmar, FL. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in cable inspection and a strong understanding of IPC-A-620 standards. You will play a critical role in ensuring product quality and compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of cable assemblies using established methods, procedures, and specifications
- Evaluate soldered and crimped connections in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, and scales
- Interpret and work from blueprints, diagrams, parts lists, and inspection instructions
- Identify, document, and disposition nonconforming materials (accept, reject, or rework)
- Monitor and verify product quality using statistical process control or similar procedures
- Collaborate with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, and management to resolve quality issues
- Support assembly tasks within assigned inspection areas as needed
Required Qualifications
- Proven inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated expertise in soldered and crimp inspection of cable assemblies per IPC-A-620 standards
- Strong ability to interpret technical documentation, including drawings, diagrams, IPC manuals, and work instructions
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with personal computers and modern applications
- Ability to read and write in English
- Willingness and ability to perform assembly tasks as needed
- Ability to successfully pass a required medical screening exam
Education Requirement
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
