Job Summary
We are seeking an IQA Technician I to support incoming quality inspection and manufacturing operations in a regulated production environment.
This position is ideal for candidates with experience in incoming inspection, dimensional measurement, quality inspection, manufacturing quality, or technical inspection. Candidates with a technical diploma, engineering/manufacturing education, or internship experience are also encouraged to apply if they have hands-on measurement and inspection experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming visual and dimensional inspections of materials and components.
- Inspect parts according to inspection plans, engineering drawings, specifications, and established procedures.
- Use measurement tools such as:
- Calipers
- Gauges
- Rulers
- Other dimensional measurement equipment
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of assemblies and components.
- Review materials and determine whether they meet established specifications.
- Accept or reject material lots based on inspection results.
- Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials.
- Complete inspection paperwork and required system transactions.
- Support investigation and reporting of material discrepancies.
- Collect inspection data and assist with identifying quality trends.
- Support manufacturing and testing operations.
- Follow established quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation systems.
- Support continuous-improvement activities.
- Escalate complex quality issues to senior quality personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of incoming dimensional inspection experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience using calipers, gauges, rulers, or similar measurement tools.
- Ability to perform accurate visual and dimensional inspections.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing/quality team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing quality experience.
- Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) experience.
- Medical-device manufacturing experience.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, QMS, FDA, or ISO requirements.
- Experience inspecting cable harnesses, electronic assemblies, or PCB assemblies.
- Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or a related field.
- Experience with additional dimensional measuring equipment.
