Duties
- Install new irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment, ensuring precise placement and efficient operation.
- Conduct routine irrigation maintenance and repairs on existing systems, including replacing components, adjusting sprinkler heads, and repairing system leaks.
- Troubleshoot system issues by diagnosing electrical faults, mechanical failures, or soil-related problems using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques.
- Oversee irrigation management to optimize water usage across multiple landscapes, adjusting automated irrigation controls for peak efficiency.
- Perform landscape quality control inspections to ensure landscaping standards are met; address issues related to lawn care, soil science, and overall landscape health.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to plan and execute new irrigation projects aligned with landscaping goals and environmental considerations.
- Operate excavation equipment such as excavators for trenching or installation purposes while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of all irrigation system repairs, installations, and maintenance activities for ongoing management and reporting.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in irrigation system installation and repair projects.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics related to automated irrigation control systems.
