Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Associate is responsible for executing the quality assurance process and ensuring that all quality control tasks are carried out. They will perform inspections during multiple stages of construction and provide documentation and reporting to all stakeholders. This QC Associate will be a member of the Quality Control Team, which will uphold consistent standards of quality through the multiple inspections pre- and post- delivery of new multifamily construction projects at NRP. This could include demonstrating inspection protocols to local staff and setting best practice expectations.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct interior, exterior, common area and various other property inspections to verify quality and consistency while also verifying proper use of building products and systems as specified in building plans.
Assist in identifying possible ownership and warranty risks based on historical data of inspection findings.
Understand; adhere to and promote all SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) written for the consistent management of the QC process
Identify general quality issues
Assist property management in addressing warranty claims, identifying responsible parties and ensuring accountability for cost.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks while doing in-suite inspections post-construction in preparation for property disposition.
Review shop drawings and submittals to confirm project specifications are conformed to.
Provide feedback and summary reporting on warranty claims by project, trade, vendor, etc to the VP of Facilities.
Participate in creating and performing the training of management staff on our quality control program.
Complete due diligence inspections on projects we prepare for disposition; as well as various interior, exterior and in-suite inspections.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in the construction or maintenance/facilities industry working with multi-family projects.
Knowledge of construction documents and processes and a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques. Knowledge of industry and manufacturer’s standards and installation requirements.
Willingness to work hard and take ownership in delivering results. Help enforce a culture of high expectations and high levels of execution.
Knowledge of best practices of building envelope systems, ADA/FHA requirements, HVAC, fire & life safety systems
Ability to use computers, tablets and various software’s to capture real-time updates in the filed.

Willingness to be flexible with travel and coordination for QC inspections
Valid Driver’s License Required
