Strasburg Care Center is looking for a nurse to fill the position of Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist & Quality Assurance Coordinator. This position is for an RN will be full time.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program, holding a current & unencumbered license.
3 or more years of nursing experience, preferably in long term care
Education & experience in quality assurance and infection prevention preferred
Major Duties & Responsibilities but not limited too
Develop & implement an ongoing infection prevention & control program to prevent, recognize, and control the onset & spread of infections in order to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment.
Establish a facility wide system for the prevention, identification, reporting, investigation, and control of infections & communicable diseases of residents, staff, and visitors.
Oversee the antibiotic stewardship program.
Oversee resident care activities that increase risk of infection (i.e., use and care of urinary catheters, wound care, incontinence care, skin care, point-of-care blood testing, medication injections).
Participation on the QAA Committee.
Works with DON and administrator to ensure compliance with all applicable state & federal laws.
The Strasburg Care Center is a 38-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Strasburg, ND, located in South Central North Dakota
