As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, Neovest, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
The Technical Quality Assurance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This position requires a proactive leader to drive QA automation and oversee performance, load, and system testing for both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a strong dedication to delivering high-quality software solutions
Key Responsibilities:
Establish and communicate clear guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
Foster a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, prioritizing diverse representation within the team.
Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team’s success.
Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and processes for both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks.
Drive the automation of QA processes, including test case development, execution, and reporting.
Conduct performance, load, and system testing to ensure the scalability and reliability of our software products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality and performance.
Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in QA and testing methodologies.
Integrate QA automation into an automated build and deployment process.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience, including coaching and mentoring.
Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with expertise in technology disciplines.
Proven experience as a QA Manager or similar role in a FinTech or capital markets environment.
Strong technical expertise in both Java and C#/.NET technology stacks.
Hands-on experience with QA automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, NUnit).
Experience with performance, load, and system testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Preferred Skills:
Practical cloud-native experience.
Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
