Job Title: Mock Health Inspector / Food Safety Consultant (Contract, Northeast Florida)
Job Type: Contract, Project-Based — Supplemental Income
Location: Northeast Florida (Jacksonville metro area and surrounding counties)
Pay: $50–$55 per inspection (roughly $25–$55/hour) — complete your 22 monthly assignments on your own time and take home $1,100–$1,210/month, plus travel pay.
About the Role
Got a sharp eye for food safety and a passion for helping businesses shine? We help restaurants and foodservice operators ace their real health inspections by running surprise mock inspections that catch issues before they ever become a problem. We’re growing our team of inspectors across Northeast Florida — and we’d love for you to be part of it!
What You’ll Do
- Each month, you’ll be assigned a set number of mock inspections across multiple client locations
- Complete every inspection unannounced — just like a real health inspector would — anytime before month’s end
- Put your food code expertise to work evaluating compliance
- Deliver clear, helpful feedback that genuinely makes a difference for clients
- Travel to assigned client locations to complete your inspections
What We’re Looking For
- Solid knowledge of the food code — this is a must!
- Former health inspector experience? Even better!
- Kitchen manager or foodservice leadership background welcome too
- Reliable transportation to get you to client sites
- A friendly, professional presence — you’re the face of great service
