SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assisting with quality improvement efforts including, but not limited to, case documentation review and oversight on fidelity to service activities and best practices. The specialist will perform quality improvement reviews to assure compliance with Continuous Quality Improvement principles.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Promotes best practices within the reviews of documentation and follow-up with directors and staff.
Reviews clinical records and other documentation review to ensure quality standards are met.
Participates in the implementation of quality improvement activities.
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings as needed.
Provides reports to the COO.
Provides feedback to Directors and staff on fidelity to Evidence Based Practices and expectations for integrated care.
Provides feedback to the COO and Directors regarding specific and general trends that are observed during the chart review process.
As appropriate, assist with clinic data collection, health outcomes reporting, clinical audits, and evaluation related to standards and requirements.
Completes special projects or assignments as needed to meet initiatives and/or objectives.
Complete all organizational trainings.
EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years of experience in behavioral health.
Experience with youth and adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Ability to identify appropriate clinical outcomes substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft 365, electronic health records, and electronic communications.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Able to work independently and as a member of a team
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree in behavioral health a plus
Licensed to practice a plus
