The Quality Stager in the Metal Shop is responsible for ensuring all fabricated metal components meet Storm Smart’s quality standards before staging them for final assembly or installation. This role involves inspecting finished parts for accuracy, defects, and completeness, and organizing them for the next step in the production process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Stage metals, buildout and material needed or a shutter installation.
Make sure the computer and staging boards are labeled with the job name and contract number.
Maintain the integrity of the job log to ensure contracts can be found quickly and in the right locations.
Stock/Locate materials in proper bin and location.
Verify Quality and measurements of all products.
Pull materials needed for service techs and installers.
Assist Other plant personnel in obtaining parts.
Relieve inventory from completed jobs.
Must accomplish daily 5S checklist/general housekeeping.
Knowledge and Completion of all special tasks from your shift.
Must always leave equipment and storage in good standing.
Must be a great starter and motivated.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

Ability to cycle count material as directed.
Ability to run cycle count reports.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to analyze and solve problems as they arise.
Ability to read and use a tape measure.
Strong data handling skills.
Strong computer skills Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Effective communication skills: both verbal and written
Ability work independently and efficiently

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

Functional experience using any ERP System.
Experienced in stocking and maintaining inventory accuracy.
High School or equivalent
Prior experience in a similar field.
