Job Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality control procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves managing supplier quality, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvements in product and process quality.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure product consistency.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
Monitor product quality metrics in collaboration with quality teams.
Ensure appropriate inspection equipment is deployed for production.
Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality concerns.
Support R&D in designing inspection methods for new product development.
Conduct PPAP for all child parts to ensure supplier quality compliance.
Perform regular part, process, and plant audits for quality assurance.
Assess supplier capability and drive quality improvements.
Resolve part quality issues through systematic analysis and corrective actions.
Travel required both intra-city and inter-city as per business needs, along with regular visits to Mysore.
Skills And Qualifications
Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
Working Knowledge of quality tools like FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and control plans.
Experience with quality management systems (QMS).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting.
Experience in Automotive manufacturing/EV Industry is a Plus.
