SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supervising and monitoring the inspection of devices and QC inventory levels across all InfuSystem sites and business segments by working with site supervisors/leads to assure world class customer satisfaction. Utilize expertise and experience to ensure our “customer is 1st” culture by taking ownership, solving their problems, and exceeding expectations. Also collects, complies, and analyzes data for graphs and KPI’s that drive continuous improvement and best practice across the organization.
IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Oversees and monitors all sites to ensure all quality priorities in all business segments are balanced and agreed upon levels are maintained
Accurately follow established processes and procedures to inspect, test, and release devices
Exercise operational awareness to help seek out new processes or procedures to increase efficiencies
Use historical data and current market information to create, review and adjust device work instructions
Remain flexible, open, and eager to learn/teach subordinates to always meet and exceed the customers’ expectations
Provide feedback to Management regarding quality issues with devices and processes for continual improvement
Understand the emerging trends in the device failures to help develop strategies to reduce or eliminate them
Ensures QC techs at all sites are trained and in compliance with 5S principles
Monitor and consult with Management on productivity and quality issues of subordinate employees and assist with disciplinary actions of subordinates if needed
Collaborate with Management on training needs within the Quality group(s) to identify talent and develop the Quality teams to work at their best
Analyzes customer complaints, out of box failures and QC failures to identify and institute preventative QC checks.
Seek out best practice and innovative strategies to increase output with existing resources
Works with Management to adjust the working hours of the Quality Group(s) as needed and updates Management on changes implemented
Participate and advise on new hire selection
Monitors and trends daily quality quantities
Travels to each site as needed with Management approval to conduct or oversee training, quality activities, and implement process evaluation/improvement – 10% or less with overnights
Provides input and creates first draft of annual performance appraisals for subordinates
Continue to advance education in areas of organization, planning, leadership, and development
Performs other related duties as required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supervises the quality control technicians at all sites.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional verbal and communication skills as well as strong organizational skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, development and provide feedback
Knowledge of FDA, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, and Quality Systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include word, excel and outlook.
Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and compiling and interpreting quality data
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‐year College or technical school or a minimum of two years Quality Control experience with medical devices.
Previous history as lead/supervisor for a Quality Control team
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to add, subtract, and match numbers
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
