Job Summary
The QA Coordinator (QAC) will be coordinating and conducting all aspects of our plants manufacturing quality activities from incoming raw materials inspection through the adherence to food packaging regulatory compliance requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities

Operations
Perform various tests on raw material and production samples, collecting accurate data as needed using required measuring tools, equipment and fixtures.
Reviews and communicates product specifications to ensure current standards and procedures meet requirements.
Inspect finished or in-process product and determines acceptance or rejection during both qualification and regular production runs.
Work closely with Operators and Engineers to interactively communicate product performance parameters that may require immediate process changes.
Record test data in a timely fashion, generate reports, and interpret results using provided systems (MS Excel, Word, Comity IQS eQMS).
Develops and maintains a training program(s) that enhances the skills of employees to; identify product/process nonconformities, record and track nonconformities, and implement appropriate corrective action.
Coordinate and teach site employees work instructions and product testing procedures with high level of details to describe testing methods.
Reviews new products CTQs to ensure testing methods performed are adequate and makes appropriate adjustments if necessary.
Perform GMP, Quality Systems, and HACCP audits as prescribed.
Ensures company’s compliance with appropriate FSMA/PCQI governmental and SQF regulatory requirements and promotes Good Manufacturing Practices.
Must maintain regular and consistent attendance.
Additional duties as assigned.
Safety
Comply with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements.
Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision. Resolving potential hazards swiftly, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
Attend scheduled EHS trainings.
Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals. Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements to contribute to our commitment to a safe work environment.
Demonstrates safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Ensures strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
Product Safety and Quality
Follows Product Safety and Quality standards.
Follows GMPs regarding food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee.
Follows IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements.
Minimum Requirements (include education, experience, special skills, licenses and/or certifications required.)

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
A minimum of three (3) years experience in quality inspection or one (1) years experience in the Companys manufacturing environment.
Experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, are a must. Minitab experience is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documentation, business documents, technical processes and procedures, and industry standards, models and regulations.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to proactively take initiative and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Able to use measuring devices (scales, magna mic, force gages, micrometers, calipers, etc.) requiring computer input knowledge.
