Quality Control Inspector
Duties:
– Meticulous and thorough in performing inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products on most types of fabrication, machined parts, welding and assembly of pressure vessels and related products.
– Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure product conformity
– Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of non-compliance
– Collect and analyze data to identify trends or areas of continuous improvement
– Document inspection results, maintain and update QC reports and statistical data
– Collaborate with production teams to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions
Skills:
– Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers
– Ability to interpret drawings, customer specifications and standards of moderate complexity
– Knowledge of quality management systems, shop procedures, welding techniques and weld procedures
– Good communication skills to effectively communicate quality issues
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
– Knowledge and understanding of various NDE processes
– Knowledge and experience working with ASME Code preferred.
