Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team at True Sports. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and performance of our sporting goods products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This position is vital to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the sporting goods industry.
Responsible for providing daily directions to assigned operation area on matters concerning the Quality Management System and supervise the Quality Technician activities. In support to the Total Quality Management System, this position develops and implements manufacturing process control plans, inspection procedures, inspection sampling plans, and establishes workmanship standards. Additional activities include but are not limited to participation in problem analysis teams, corrective action resolution teams, advance quality planning teams, as well as performing process capability studies. Works with customers and the sales department in establishing quality requirements. As required, provides to management statistical and/or project status reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide daily directions to the Quality Assurance Technician and special instructions for manufacturing concerning quality issues.
Develop failure mode effect analysis and process control plans.
Perform statistical studies to determine manufacturing process capabilities, product producibility, and prepare management reports.
Develop and implement inspection procedures, inspection sampling plans and process control instructions.
Coordinate nonconforming material evaluation and disposition.
Provide technical support to problem analysis and corrective action teams and provide status reports for each project.
Determine best methods for qualifying materials or products in terms of dimensional measurements, physical testing, and inspection. Coordinate the design, fabrication and/or purchase of devices to facilitate the qualification of materials or products.
Provide support to sales and engineering in the introduction of new products and manufacturing process/design/material changes.
Work with customers and sales in evaluating quality issues for the purpose of correcting discrepancy and to control cost exposure to the company.
Support continuous quality improvements through the development of advanced quality plans and development.
Determine job skill levels of personnel in assigned areas of responsibility (both manufacturing and quality personnel concerning quality program or product qualification and develop/implement training programs to meet personnel needs.
Develop capital and expenses budget covering quality program for assigned area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management or Quality Engineering or related field.
Two years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Technician. All candidates will have training in Total Quality Management Systems, Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
