Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our laboratory operations by conducting tests, analyzing samples, and maintaining lab equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and accuracy. A Film Manufacturer Lab Technician performs tests and analysis on raw materials, in-process products, and finished films to ensure quality and consistency, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean lab environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing and Analysis:
Conducting various tests on film materials, including raw materials, in-process products, and finished films.
Performing tests to evaluate material and product quality, such as pH testing, water testing, and particle size analysis.
Using and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments.
Analyzing data and reporting findings.
Quality Control:
Ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications.
Identifying and addressing any deviations or issues in the manufacturing process.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of tests, results, and procedures.
Preparing reports and documentation as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting (preferred but not always required).
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pipettes, spectrophotometers, and chromatographs.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines, such as OSHA and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment & Schedule:
Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biohazards, and specialized equipment.
Full-time or part-time, depending on the employer’s requirements.
May require flexible hours, including weekends or evening shifts.
