Position :
Lab Assistant
Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Management:
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the textile laboratory, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain proper documentation of lab activities, including test reports, samples, and results.
• Ensure that the laboratory is equipped with necessary testing instruments and that equipment is maintained and calibrated.
2. Test Procedures:
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all textile testing protocols.
3. Quality Control:
• Implement quality control systems to detect and prevent defects or deviations in materials and processes.
4. Research and Development Support:
• Analysis Fabric Quality for New styles and suggest to Fabric Team.
• Suggest the testing method for any new quality
• Work closely with technical team to solve the challenges occurring during testing
• Conduct failure analysis on tests and provide customers with improvement points
5. Team Management:
• Supervise lab technicians and staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Assign lab tasks, monitor their progress, and evaluate the performance of laboratory personnel.
• Quality testing for garments as well as fabric in Lab according to the standard
6. Inventory and Procurement:
• Monitor the inventory of lab supplies and testing materials, and reorder as necessary.
• Maintain an organized system for storing samples and testing materials, ensuring proper labeling and traceability.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational
Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, or related field.
•
Experience:
Previous experience in textile testing at least 8-10 Years in this at least 3 Years laboratory management.
• Technical Skills:
Proficiency in textile testing equipment and software, knowledge of textile materials and fabrics.
• Leadership Skills:
Ability to manage and train a team, excellent organizational skills.
• Attention to Detail:
Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and precision in testing.
• Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
