Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Laboratory Technician role based in Jerusalem. The Laboratory Technician will support day-to-day lab operations, including preparing samples, setting up experiments, and operating standard laboratory equipment aligned with Altera’s hardware and materials testing needs. Responsibilities include performing routine measurements, documenting results in laboratory information systems, and assisting in experiments that support product development and validation. The role involves conducting basic quality checks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring laboratory equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. The Laboratory Technician will collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to troubleshoot issues, follow detailed protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
Qualifications
- Strong laboratory skills and hands-on experience with standard Laboratory Equipment (e.g., microscopes, measurement tools, environmental chambers).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Laboratory Skills and practices, including sample preparation, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety procedures.
- Experience in Quality Control activities such as basic inspections, checks against specifications, and documentation of nonconformities.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret test data, identify trends or anomalies, and communicate findings clearly.
- Prior experience in a Laboratory Technician or similar technical role in electronics, materials science, semiconductor, or related fields is beneficial.
- Relevant technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering) preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures, standard operating instructions, and safety guidelines with high attention to detail.
- Comfort working on-site in a structured lab environment and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with lab data systems or electronic documentation tools.
