Job description
Overview:
As a Quality Control Inspector, your primary role is to actively monitor and verify that products being produced meet established quality standards by inspecting items for defects and ensuring they adhere to company guidelines. While following established procedures is essential, your focus should be on ensuring quality without unnecessarily hindering production processes.
Quality Control Inspector
This is a full-time position, working days are Monday-Friday with Saturday availability.
Responsibilities include;
Participate in release meetings to ensure a clear understanding of product specifications and inspection requirements.
Interpret inspection plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and consistent inspection procedures.
Inspect parts according to established QC procedures and relevant specifications, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.
Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and documented, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Identify nonconforming parts or materials and initiate the Red Tag procedure.
Collaborate with production teams to determine the disposition of Red Tagged parts.
Compile, complete and maintain customer-requested quality reports.
Liaise with relevant departments to gather necessary data for reports.
Work during shop hours, which are 6:15am – 4:00pm. Be available for overtime as needed to support production.
Qualifications:
Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a shop with the type of machines Bulloch uses to produce parts.
Must be able to effectively use and read:
– Calipers
– Micrometers
– Tape Measure
– Square
– Protractor
– Dial Indicators
– Counter Sink Gauge
Stand and walk for long periods of time
Effectively interact with Engineering and Production Personnel
Read and interpret engineering drawings, shop prints and customer prints
