QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
American GFM Corporation is seeking to hire a Quality Control Inspector (day shift)-
A QC Inspector should possess characteristics such as teamwork, positive attitude, and solid work ethic to ensure quality and support manufacturing.
Requirements:
Able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications of machined parts and weldments.
Able to inspect parts accurately and in a timely manner.
Able to measure dimensions and tolerances (run-out, concentricity, flatness, perpendicularity, etc.) Working experience with a CMM a plus.
Working knowledge of measuring instruments such as a height gauge, micrometer and dial bore gauge.
Able to read and understand material specifications and requirements; will be required to inspect incoming material and purchased parts for conformance to purchase orders and specifications.
Able to fully inspect first articles, create in-process inspection reports, final inspection reports, non-conformance reports and any associated paperwork in accordance with company standards.
Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance. This requires good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
Must be able to work and communicate well with other departments.
Knowledge of both Metric and English measuring systems.
Experience with laser measuring systems a plus (setup/qualify machine tools positioning accuracy and repeatability).
Education and experience:
High school diploma
3 years’ experience and/or training in a mechanical inspection environment
