We are a pioneer and leading innovator of fiber optic, ring laser gyro, and MEMS technologies for a broad range of navigation applications.
We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector in our Concord, California location. This role is on- site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of PCBA and mechanical components using microscopes and various measurement tools to ensure they meet our quality standards and specification. Document inspection results and maintain inspection records in a clear and organized manner.
Work with quality engineers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve the quality incoming material.
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify and resolve issues related to incoming material Ensure that all inspection activities are performed in accordance with our established
Stay up to date on industry standards and new technologies related to incoming material inspections
Maintain record keeping of incoming inspection
Assist quality engineers on non-conformance containment, documentation, and report generation
Assist quality engineers on data collection and recording
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a technical field is preferred
Proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauge blocks)
Knowledge of industry standards for PCBA and mechanical components (e.g., IPC, MIL, and J-STD)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers, team members, and management
Working knowledge of MS Office products OTHER PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES OR QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the electronics or manufacturing industry
IPC-A-610 Class 3 certification is preferred.
Prefer experience working under AS9100 or ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
