CTG is seeking to fill a Lead Auditor opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Overview:

The Lead Auditor leads and executes audits across their assigned domain. The individual is also responsible for overseeing and executing annual risk assessments, continuous auditing, and remediation plan validations. They communicate audit progress and findings to Bank Management and oversee Auditors (as applicable) on the assigned audit activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leads and participates in audits from planning to reporting, ensuring quality deliverables in line with the Division’s methodology and professional standards, while ensuring timely completion.

Plans and executes assurance activities and advisory services, including continuous auditing, product delivery assessments, validation procedures, investigations, and retrospective reviews, utilizing modern assurance methodologies, tools, and approaches.

Writes audit findings that clearly identify risks and root causes, and communicates findings to Bank Management in a timely manner.

Partners with stakeholders, business management, and Risk Management, establishing strong working relationships while maintaining independence.

Embraces and helps the team adapt to innovative changes and modernization efforts.

Effectively incorporates data analytics and automation techniques into all phases of audits and other activities.

Maintains deep knowledge in the assigned subject matter discipline.

Coaches, develops, and oversees the work of Auditors and new hires, including executing reviews and supervision.

Embraces and exemplifies the culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging.

Contributes to the achievement of division priorities.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Lead Auditor will lead and execute assurance activities and advisory services, maintain relationships and communicate with Bank Management, and oversee Auditors. They will ensure that all activities conform to professional auditing standards and will report to an Audit (Senior) Manager.

Education and Experience Required:

Proven experience in audit testing, remediation testing, and validation.

In-depth knowledge of commercial and credit subject matter expertise.

Strong background in audit methodology and risk assessment.

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
