We are looking for a Lead Automation Tester in JS to own quality strategy and the automation architecture for web platforms using Playwright and JavaScript. You will set quality standards, define scalable automation patterns, and embed testing into CI/CD to keep releases reliable. Join us to influence engineering quality end-to-end and apply today
Responsibilities
- Architect and fully own the end-to-end automation strategy using Playwright and JavaScript
- Define automation architecture, design patterns, and best practices
- Ensure test suites stay scalable, maintainable, and performant
- Promote the adoption of shift-left testing methodologies
- Implement quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
- Create and maintain UI, API, and integration test suites
- Design test strategies for intricate user journeys and system integrations
- Manage test data and coordinate environment orchestration
- Lead code reviews for automation codebases
- Eliminate flaky tests and improve the reliability of test execution
- Mentor and guide mid-level and junior Quality Engineers
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Delivery leadership on release readiness
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Test Automation, including demonstrated work in a Senior QE capacity
- Hands-on, large-scale experience with Playwright paired with advanced JavaScript skills
- Solid understanding of both frontend and backend architectural structures
- Proven background testing REST APIs and substantial experience embedding automation within CI/CD workflows
- Practical knowledge of test architecture design, test data handling, and environment management
- Excellent communication abilities and skill in managing stakeholders
- Demonstrated success working with complex, enterprise-level platforms
- English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
