Job Description:
Lead the development and execution of automated test frameworks and scripts to support quality assurance objectives, optimize testing processes, and increase test coverage. Validate system functionality, identify and track defects, support regression testing activities, and contribute to the timely delivery of reliable business solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and reusable test assets for application and API validation.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through effective test automation, CI/CD integration, and risk-based quality assurance practices.
- Embed automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality assurance and efficient software delivery.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Xray for defect tracking, collaboration, and test management activities.
- Apply sound risk analysis principles throughout the testing lifecycle to ensure consistent delivery of quality outcomes.
- Conduct database validation, data reconciliation, and integration testing across multiple interconnected systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and end-to-end functionality.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, identifying potential risks, defects, and issues early and escalating them proactively.
- Leverage risk-based testing practices to ensure efficient resource utilization, comprehensive coverage, and consistent quality outcomes.
- Proactively identify, assess, and escalate risks, defects, and issues to support timely resolution.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including business, development, and QA teams, to define automation approaches, testing strategies, scope, and acceptance criteria aligned with project objectives.
- Actively contribute to analysis and design discussions, including defining automation acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Execute risk-based testing to ensure adequate, optimized, and fit-for-purpose test coverage.
- Adopt a proactive and pragmatic problem-solving approach, working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve testing and quality-related issues.
- Respond effectively to changing project requirements by updating, refining, and enhancing test cases and automation assets.
Required Skills:
- 8-13 years of overall software testing experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on automation testing experience.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in application and API test automation across platforms including Pega, Informatica, and AWS (S3).
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Selenium WebDriver, including Page Object Model (POM), TestNG/JUnit, and automation design patterns.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is preferred/good to have.
