Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific, a world leader in serving science, is seeking a Lead for the Visual Inspection department located in Monza (MB). The candidate will operate in a department where automatic, semi-automatic, and manual visual inspection of sterile drugs in vials (liquid and lyophilized forms) or pre-filled syringes is performed. The Lead, reporting to the Visual Inspection Supervisor, will collaborate daily with quality and all other functions on site to achieve customer satisfaction and deliver the product to patients.
The Lead will play a coordinating role in the activities assigned to them, ensuring appropriate collaboration from the operators.
SCOPE OF THE POSITION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lead is responsible for achieving the quantity and quality objectives of the production activities of the VI DPS department through planning and controlling the production activities within the daily and weekly timeframe, in compliance with company procedures and quality standards, safety regulations, environmental impact guidelines, and superior’s instructions.
SPECIFIC TASKS/PRIMARY
ACTIVITIES:
Production planning
Contributes to ensuring adequate production planning within the weekly and daily timeframe by assigning tasks to operators, following the instructions of the Planning and Scheduler of the department.
Ensures production meets the planned quantities, timelines, and quality by supervising production activities, controlling the Batch Record and departmental documentation related to performed tasks, in compliance with the master batch record regarding quantities, timelines, quality, GMP, procedures, and company quality standards.
Supports leadership in monitoring the application of SOPs by adhering to the master batch record instructions, verifying process sampling, and ensuring that recorded production data comply with GMP and current procedures before sending to Quality Assurance, in accordance with company quality policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS AND
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in CTF, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Diploma with previous experience in the role
Two years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or food industry
Fluency in Italian and English
Ability to manage and coordinate resources with good leadership skills
Willingness to work shifts (both continuous and night shifts)
