We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vehicle Inspection Manager to lead our automotive inspection team within the auction industry. Duties
- Lead and coordinate daily vehicle inspection operations, ensuring thorough assessments of all incoming and outgoing vehicles
- Conduct detailed inspections of standard passenger cars, including mechanical systems, electrical components, tires, and body condition
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to perform repairs or identify issues during inspections
- Oversee automotive tire changes, basic maintenance tasks, and vehicle repairs as needed to verify operational safety and quality
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, auto estimating reports, and repair recommendations
- Supervise a team of inspectors, providing training on vehicle inspection protocols and safety procedures
- Collaborate with auction staff, mechanics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless vehicle processing and communication
Skills
- 5+ years of professional vehicle inspection experience
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- Extensive knowledge of standard passenger car operation and automotive systems including electrical, mechanical, and body components
- Proven experience with vehicle maintenance, auto estimating, auto restoration
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate findings clearly and professionally with clients or internal teams
- Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections accurately while adhering to safety standards
- Mechanic experience is highly desirable to support technical evaluations during inspections
