Department Overview
The Delivery Quality Enhancement Group’s mission is to enable the rapid delivery of high-quality systems by providing quality assurance and platform engineering support to development teams within the Business Support Development Department. By working closely with these teams, the group is involved in a wide range of development projects, including the launch of new large-scale e-commerce services. This environment offers highly challenging work and unique, hands-on experiences in a complex, enterprise-scale system landscape.
Position
Why We Hire
We are looking for a QA Lead to drive quality improvement initiatives for major e-commerce services.
Development and quality assurance activities are conducted across multiple locations, including Japan, China, Bangladesh, and India. You will be responsible for promoting project-wide quality assurance in close collaboration with engineers at each location.
In addition, you will work closely with the QA Manager to design, implement, and manage quality assurance processes, while leading and mentoring QA team members.

Work Environment
Our group, comprising QA and DevOps engineers, collaborates with Product Managers and development teams within the department to support the rapid release of high-quality solutions to customers.
The group is composed of members from various nationalities, and communication is conducted primarily in English.
The QA team includes engineers with diverse backgrounds, such as quality assurance, software testing theory, test automation, information security, and application development.
Technologies And Tools Include (but Are Not Limited To)
Cucumber, Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript, Gherkin (BDD), MagicPod, Robot Framework, Selenium, Appium, Bruno, TestRail, PractiTest, Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, BigQuery, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Java, Python, C#, Sentry, Rundeck, Google Cloud Platform, and an in-house cloud environment.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Over 8 years of combined experience in IT, including QA, Product Management, Project Management, and Development roles
- Fundamental knowledge of test automation strategy and management
- Experience in designing and managing quality assurance processes
- Experience in creating test plans and defining test scope
- Experience leading QA teams of 3 or more members
- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- QA experience across front-end, back-end, and mobile applications
- Strong understanding of ISTQB Foundation Level concepts
- Basic Japanese language skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, and Jenkins
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Experience in the internet services industry
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or services
- Understanding of ISTQB Test Manager or Test Analyst Level concepts
- Experience integrating QA practices in Agile and DevOps environments
- Experience managing teams of 10 or more members across multiple locations, including overseas
- Experience in project management, including serving as Project Manager
- Experience in system development, including serving as Development Lead
