Job Overview
Novastar’s Calibration Lab is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance and control processes. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This position will report to the Director of Calibration and would be ideal for someone who isexperienced with a wide array of test equipment, self-motivated, a team player, and has a strong commitment to quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establish, maintain, and improve the documented quality system in conformance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1
Schedule audits of the documented quality system as required in the quality system documentation
Ensure that scheduled quality audits are carried out in conformance to the requirements contained in the quality system documentation.
Review and approve all changes to the quality system documentation
Work with auditors during 3rd party audits of Novastar’s quality system
Maintain Customer Complaint Log
Communications – Primary customer liaison for escalated issues
Manage and monitor corrective actions
Identification of trends
Initiation of projects to resolve negative trends
Documentation and file maintenance
Compliance with quality procedures
Can authorize the stoppage and resumption of work
Analysis/investigation of issues
Maintain Measurement Uncertainty budgets
Maintain IHC/PT’s
Maintain A studies
QC and review all Novastar standards coming back from outside vendors
Perform reverse trace analysis on out of tolerance calibration standards
Qualifications
10+ years proven experience in a Quality Manager role or similar position within a regulated industry.
Complete understanding of industry and quality standards associated with a full service calibration laboratory
Working knowledge and understanding of quality systems
Proficient in data analysis techniques to drive decision-making based on quantitative insights.
Ability to work well with 3rd party registrar
Valid driver’s license
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and database applications

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
