ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the Quality & Technology team ensuring individual & department goals meet business objectives.
Responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System to meet ISO & other code requirements as necessary.
Establish and enforce quality specifications for raw materials, in process and finished product by interfacing with the vendors and customers as well as Operations, Customer Care, and Purchasing Departments.
Establish & maintain effective vendor supply chain management structure. Ensure proper audit structure and oversight performed as required.
Interact with QA/QC team to ensure status of quality system can be accurately communicated to Operation personnel.
Maintain and oversee the ISO & Quality Management Systems Manual/Policy Index
Maintain confidential information with regard to Samuel’s customers.
Maintain ISO, ASME, AISC, and other Quality Certifications, including those sponsored by customers.
Communicate with customers to address and resolve quality-related issues, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Effectively oversee Quality team to coordinate both internal and external audits, report their findings, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions until completion.
Manage implementation of proper NDE standards across all fabrication & machine shop work. Mitigate waste.
Sustain continuous assessment of implementation of systems, policies, and procedures to ensure the highest standards of quality and impact on the business.
Lead in the collection and analysis of data to produce strategic and tactical recommendations or actions to address deficiencies.
Lead initiatives to reduce the “cost of poor quality” and enhance product line(s), factory, and supplier management performance.
Oversee the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Performance Metric systems across the organization. Collaborate with & educate business leaders to improve metric selection, measurement methods, and reporting mechanisms.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

Microsoft Applications
Must have a general understanding of measuring instruments use such as calipers, micrometers, ultrasound gauge, thread gauges, etc.
Must have a good understanding of NDE Methodologies (VT, MT, PT, RT, UT).
Must have basic knowledge of ERP Systems.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
Must have a basic understanding of blueprints.
Good communication skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent reading/interpretation skills.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering,
Business Administration or equivalent and 5 – 7 years’ relevant experience
Associate’s degree and 8 – 10 years relevant experience
